John Sawyko advises non-profit clients on all aspects of their evolution, from incorporation through obtaining tax-exempt status, resolving governance issues, and providing guidance on carrying out programmatic activities, with a focus on lobbying and political activities. He previously served as in-house counsel at the American Cancer Society, where he worked primarily with the Society’s affiliated advocacy organization, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.
